THE OPEN DOOR

God's loving-kindness is not for a season.
It is the ever-burgeoning of light
That spills, and spreads, and floods the golden vistas
Beyond the shallow are of mortal sight.
It overflows the bounds of darkened reason.
Love's grace no measure knows, nor ever will:
For loving-kindness is not for a season—
The door is open still.
