"LIFE DEMONSTRATES LIFE"

Life is eternal and man is immortal. These important facts are quite generally accepted in theory, but mankind, misled by mortal mind, seems reluctant to make them practical. By a devious course of false reasoning one finally arrives at the conclusion that he must die in order to find Life, which is like saying that he must be sick in order to have health or must make a mathematical mistake in order to find the correct answer.

True, the material sense of man and life with its beliefs in sin and evil is not eternal, but this material sense needs to be replaced, not by the belief of death, but through Christian Science with the divine understanding and realization of Life as it actually is—spiritual, pure, perfect, and continuous.

"He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. ... For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself." "If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 5:24, 26; 8:51; 17: 3.) Thus spoke Christ Jesus, and he brought Lazarus from the grave, restored the widow's son at Nain, and raised his own body from the tomb. Furthermore, the Master promised his followers (John 14: 12), "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."
