With a heart full of gratitude to God I wish to share some of the many blessings and healings that have been experienced by my family and me since Christian Science came to us. Some of these healings have come through the consecrated work of a practitioner, and others through our own efforts.

Some time after I took up the study of Christian Science I developed pleurisy. I had been studying the ninety-first Psalm, and these words from the fifteenth verse kept coming to me: "He shall call upon me, and I will answer him." In pondering this statement I thought, Well, if that was true in David's time, it must be true now. I got up, dressed, and went to see a practitioner. We had a helpful talk, and I returned home feeling much better. About three days afterwards I was completely free. This healing took place over twenty years ago, and there has never been any return of the difficulty.

Through the loving help of the same practitioner I experienced a painless childbirth. She asked me to study Mrs. Eddy's instruction in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 463), "To attend properly the birth of the new child, or divine idea, you should so detach mortal thought from its material conceptions, that the birth will be natural and safe." With deep gratitude I can say that the birth was entirely harmonious.
