Testimony of Healing October 17, 1953 Issue

More than thirty-five years ago...

More than thirty-five years ago I had my first healing in Christian Science. The healing was that of hernia, a condition which had persisted for a period of twelve years. When asked by a friend to try Christian Science I did so, and healing followed immediately.

This led me to the study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Realizing that I had found the truth of being and that there was much to be done in the vineyard of Truth, I joined The Mother Church and a branch church.

Two years previous to being elected First Reader in our branch church I was again afflicted with hernia. I knew that I should be free from this erroneous condition. Earnest work was done to realize that God is all good and everywhere present, that man in His image and likeness is the true reflection of perfect and eternal Mind, and that I was in reality such a man. I found myself completely healed within a few months, and the condition has never returned.
