Making Christian Science Better Known and More Readily Accepted

[Extract from a report prepared for the Reading Room Division by the executive board of a branch church]

Cranford, New Jersey

For a number of years our Christian Science Reading Room was located on the second floor of a downtown building in which we also rented ground-floor display window space from a real estate agency. This location, toward the rear of our floor, was seen to be unsuitable for a number of reasons. The church members agreed, therefore, when our lease expired, in February, 1952, to remove the Reading Room to the church edifice, continuing, however, to rent the display window.

A special Reading Room Committee was then appointed to explore local vacancies as they became available. A meeting of the members in the interest of our Reading Room brought to the attention of each the need for his earnest metaphysical support and willing cooperation.
