I have had many healings through Christian Science in the past several years, and I should like to mention some of them in proof of the power of God. The first concerns a healing of food poisoning. After a few hours of agony I called a practitioner. He read to me a paragraph from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and promised to work for me. All fear left me, and I became very grateful to God, as well as to Mrs. Eddy and to the practitioner.

However, a little later I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness. When I revived, I was free from the erroneous thoughts I had been thinking. Mere words cannot describe the loving, harmonious feeling I then enjoyed. No fear of death or any sense of pain remained in my thought, and a consciousness of real gratitude came to me.
