It is with the deepest sense of gratitude for the good that has come to me and my family through the study and application of Christian Science that this testimony is written. About thirteen years ago, through the invitation of a friend, I attended my first service at a Church of Christ, Scientist. This friend knew that I had nearly reached the end of all my resources, financial, spiritual, and physical. Christian Science had restored her from the chaos that had all but ruined her life, and she recommended that I try it.

I attended church services regularly, studied the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, and read the periodicals. In a short time lack of supply was overcome. The other difficulties took much study and patience before they yielded. However, peace and courage soon replaced fear and despair. Much comfort was gained from Paul's words (II Tim. 1:7), "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

In our family we have had many healings of various kinds. I have been healed of constipation and of infected feet. The latter healing came after I had gained the realization that irritation is no part of the real man's experience.
