By means of this testimony I should like to witness publicly to the fact that Christian Science frees us from ills. While I was in military service during the Second World War, X rays indicated that I had pleurisy and tubercular lung trouble for which I was sent to an Army sanatorium.

In spite of medical treatment the condition became worse, and I decided to ask a Christian Science practitioner for treatment. This was given me, and I obtained a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I read it through several times before I began the study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. My condition improved very rapidly, and soon I was free. There has been no return of the difficulty.

This healing was followed by many others, a few of which I should like to relate. Results of various accidents which have occurred in connection with my work have been healed without medical help and without my being incapacitated for work a single hour. Since the time of my first healing there have been none of the headaches which formerly had many times kept me from my work. Also I have been freed from ugly warts on my fingers and from corns. Once in a single treatment I was healed of rheumatic pain in my shoulders and arms after it had kept me in bed for two or three days.
