I give this testimony with a deep sense of gratitude for the scores of testimonies that have been of priceless help to me. Christian Science came to me through a parent who was very receptive to good, and I shall ever be grateful to that one for insistence upon my regular attendance at Sunday School. No greater gift can be given a child than this foundational teaching, which steadies, guides, and guards. Many errors of human disposition and so-called hereditary tendencies were destroyed solely through my attendance at Sunday School.

Our family has had constant proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. It has met our every need when earnestly applied, and it is of inestimable value in the rearing of our two children. While I am humbly grateful for every physical healing, I am more grateful for the regenerative effect of Truth on my thought.

Because of a belief that I was a victim of circumstances, I experienced a period of lack. Much spiritual illumination came to thought, but still the problem loomed large. Then one day, when the picture was darkest, I telephoned a practitioner who had previously helped me much. She called my attention to Mrs. Eddy's words in the Manual of The Mother Church under the heading "God's Requirement" (Art. XXIV, Sect. 5): "God requires wisdom, economy, and brotherly love to characterize all the proceedings of the members of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist."
