Testimonies of healing printed in the Christian Science periodicals have been an inspiration and help to me for many years. I should like to express my gratitude for healings and protection received through the application of God's law as we are taught to apply it in Christian Science. While I was descending a steep flight of stairs from a loft, the stairs gave way, and I fell ten feet, landing flat on my back on a concrete floor. New in my understanding of God as an ever-present help, but confident of the truth of Christian Science, I arose, cranked my car, and proceeded on my way, experiencing no serious aftereffects. Some years later I was given an X-ray examination in connection with a life insurance policy, and the X ray revealed that two ribs had been fractured and had healed.

The following difficult situation was healed through reliance upon God's law. A woman fixing next door to our factory was threatening and endangering the lives of our workmen. I had two choices. One was to sign a complaint against her. This would have resulted in her serving out a three-year suspended sentence which had been imposed by the court prior to our moving to the neighborhood. The alternative was to turn to Christian Science and to apply God's law to the case. This I did. My maintaining that man is governed by God, as taught in Science, and having one treatment from a practitioner restored harmony. About a year later the woman came to our office on business. She was a transformed person. The demonstration of harmony seemed complete when she told me she had taken up the study of Christian Science.

Some months ago I had pains in my feet like severe electric shocks. These continued for several hours. As the pains were too excruciating for me to do effective work, I asked for the help of a practitioner, and the healing was immediate.
