In the Bible, Paul admonishes us...

In the Bible, Paul admonishes us (II Tim. 4:2), "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."

I should like to tell of two instantaneous healings of severe burns, which took place through my obeying this admonition to "be instant in season." A few years ago while I was ironing with an automatic electric flatiron set at high heat, my hand caught in the cord, throwing the iron over on my hand. I turned instantly to divine Mind for help, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. Knowing that there is no mind for error to operate through, because there is only one Mind, God, I was able to continue with my work. In a day or two I looked at my hand, and there was not a trace of a burn.

The other healing took place more recently. I had lighted my oven for broiling, and seeing that the gas had not ignited, I had shut it off. Evidently I did not allow sufficient time for the gas to get out, for when I lighted a match again there was a blaze of flames, singeing my hair and eyebrows and badly burning my arm and hand.
