Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
The Lorain Journal
Avon Lake, Ohio (First Church).
Services will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. in First Church of Christ, Scientist, 31831 Lake Road, Avon Lake, in recognition of the dedication of the building.
This [event] is the outcome of the interest in Christian Science in this community which first began to develop in March, 1926, when a small group of residents organized and held meetings in a private home. Later, the same year, the group was recognized as a Christian Science Society by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
