Signs of the Times

Rev. C. L. Wallace in a sermonette in the Chula Vista Star, California

The religion of the Bible is one of song and sacrifice; they go together. The Old Testament opens with unity and harmony coming out of chaos. And the last book ends on a note that runs through all the books of the divine library, so that when we have turned over the last page we carry away in our hearts the assurance God has given and would have us not forget, "I have never ceased to love you." That message starts the song in the heart.

The New Testament opens with an angel chorus and closes with creation's greatest oratorio—sacrifices and songs.
