In the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 139) we find these words: "Give of your heart's rich overflow." My heart is surely overflowing with gratitude to God for the many blessings I have received through Christian Science.

About nine years ago I experienced a nervous breakdown. Although a practitioner was called, the condition did not improve, but rather grew worse. After three weeks, alarming symptoms presented themselves. It was at this point that I awakened to discern the apathy which I had been manifesting, and I clearly saw that the time had come for me, as a student of Christian Science, to take a firm stand on God's side. So, praying fervently for His guidance, I opened our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, at random, and my eyes fell upon these words (p. 480): "Nerves are an element of the belief that there is sensation in matter, whereas matter is devoid of sensation." My gratitude to God for this answer to my prayer knew no bounds, and my healing, although not instantaneous, was complete.

With the help of a devoted practitioner I have had healings of childhood diseases, influenza, streptococcic throat, colds, and sprained ankles. Also there have been many beautiful instances of lost articles being returned to me through the realization that man, as the reflection of God, cannot be separated an instant from omnipresent good.
