TRUE THOUGHT AND ITS ORIGIN

Consciousness is the only self-evident fact in the whole of being. Human reason cannot explain it. By its very being, consciousness explains itself as primal because it is the only self-existence.

We cannot deny that even humanly we are conscious. We are conscious, or aware, of being; we are aware that something in the nature of intelligence must be responsible for our existence. We are living—living entities—and something makes us live and makes us think. What, then, is the origin of thought? Where do thoughts really come from? We know that we think, that we are endowed with the power to think. We realize, too, that where we are, in this country, yes, and in all parts of the earth, there are millions more like ourselves, all living, thinking, moving, intelligent entities.

What does it indicate, what does it proclaim? We exist; we are conscious of existence and conscious also that some power or force has brought us into being. Have we created or evolved ourselves? Can anyone claim the distinction of being the origin or creator of conscious being?
