Much
benefit may be derived from a better knowledge of the early history of the Christian Science movement, including the toil, sacrifice, courage, obedience, and sturdy achievement of Mary Baker Eddy, who gave this movement birth.
In
the twentieth chapter of II Chronicles it is related that Jahaziel, in seeking to quiet the fears of the people, who were surrounded by enemies, gave them this divine message: "Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not your's, but God's.
Resolve
to be thyself: and know, that he Who finds himself, loses his misery.

Consciousness
is the only self-evident fact in the whole of being.
Christian Science
might be termed the Science of true consciousness.

I am very grateful to Mary Baker Eddy for her untiring efforts in giving us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," because of the healings and comfort I have received through studying Christian Science, I have witnessed many healings in our home during the last forty years, among them those of an ear discharge of many years' duration which had been pronounced incurable by ear specialists, pleural lobar pneumonia in its last stages, infantile paralysis, and influenza in a severe form.
In 1949 I met a friend whom I had not seen for fifteen years, and he spoke to me of Christian Science.
To give this testimony of God's healing and protective power has long been my desire.
When I was a college student questions of a religious nature arose which my orthodox religion failed to satisfy.
At a time when I was walking through deep waters a large open sore broke out on my body and spread until it became very alarming.
Words can never express how grateful I am for the better understanding of God and man that I have gained through the study of Science and Health by Mrs.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science.
It is a great joy and privilege to me to give a testimony of healing through Christian Science.
It is a joyous privilege to be able to testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
