It is a great joy and privilege to me to give a testimony of healing through Christian Science. I have studied this Science for many years and have had numerous healings, sometimes with the help of a practitioner, but often through my own understanding of God.

Over two ears ago I fell out of a high window onto a concrete sidewalk. The shock and injuries were alarming. My face was badly injured and I could move only with help. A kind neighbor came to help me and called my brother, who is a student of Christian Science. He took me in his arms and declared some great truths of Christian Science and spoke of God's wonderful love and care for all His children.

My sister, who is not a student of Christian Science, came to me as quickly as possible, but she felt that she could not be responsible for me unless I let her call a doctor. To relieve her anxiety I consented, and she very kindly explained to him that I did not require any medical or surgical help, as a Christian Science practitioner would be treating me. He agreed to see me without giving medical advice, and upon examining me offered to stitch my face and leave some tablets, which he said would relieve the pain. I thanked him, but refused both. I was put to bed and a practitioner was called. He was away for the day, but came at midnight to see me and began treatment in Christian Science immediately. He assured me of God's love and silenced every erroneous suggestion and fear which was expressed.
