I wish to express my deepest gratitude...
I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the help that Christian Science has been to me. It has taught me how full of good our whole present experience can be when we understand and faithfully apply the rule of divine Love to our everyday life.
I am very grateful for a healing I had of a bad knee condition. The difficulty I had in walking was apparent to a member of my family, and she advised me to consult a physician. I replied that I was sure it would be all right, and then I had to prove this statement. A complete healing was manifested as the truth concerning man as God's reflection was realized. What a joy it is to know that good only is present and that there is no need to fear an unreality!
Another cause for gratitude came a few years ago at a time when one most dear to me passed on. During that dark hour there suddenly appeared a great sense of light, and with it was present a clear realization that the word alone means "all one" and that there is only one God and that His ideas cannot be separated from Him. I then knew that all ideas of God dwell eternally in Life and are in His tender, loving care.
I want to express my sincere appreciation for the several books on the life of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that have been published by The Christian Science Publishing Society. These have given me a clear picture of our blessed Leader's consecrated life and of her battles and victories for the cause of Truth. Her great unselfed love, devotion, and self-sacrifice are a constant inspiration and admonition to heed her words in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 138), "Christians are under as direct orders now, as they were then, to be Christlike, to possess the Christ-spirit, to follow the Christ-example, and to heal the sick as well as the sinning."—(Miss) Harriet M. Stark, Newton, Massachusetts.
