THE VALLEY SHALL BUD AND BLOSSOM
Loveliness , freshness, and purity are associated with the delicate unfoldment of a beautiful flower, and they likewise characterize the unfoldment of Truth which takes place in the human consciousness through the study and application of Christian Science. Dormancy, inactivity, and drabness give way to usefulness; a new life, a fresh start, may be experienced in every occupation. It is demonstrable in Christian Science that God, Mind, controls the universe and every part of it, including man.
This momentous fact of God's government was vividly revealed to John, who, after prophesying the overcoming of all error, declared that a voice from heaven said (Rev. 21:4,5): "The former things are passed away. ... Behold, I make all things new." The former things, the depressed thoughts of sin and materiality, are removed from human consciousness through Christian Science and replaced with the beauty and loveliness of spiritual understanding.
