With a heart overflowing with...
With a heart overflowing with gratitude for Christian Science I give my testimony.
It was during the fall of 1945 that I found the Comforter, Christian Science. I attended the services of a Church of Christ, Scientist, one Sunday morning merely out of curiosity and was surprised to find that here was the truth I needed so much.
Shortly after that inspiring service I purchased a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and when I had read the book through twice I found that a great transformation had come about in my thinking. I felt close to God and had a deep desire to express more love and brotherly kindness. The immediate help I received from my reading was evidenced in the overcoming of the desire for tobacco and liquor.
