To enumerate all the blessings which are constantly coming to me through the application of Christian Science would be impossible. I cannot imagine my being without this Science.

My first proof of the healing power of God as revealed in Christian Science was the instantaneous relief from the intense pain of a deep burn. My husband urged me to go to a doctor, but I saw this problem as an opportunity to take my stand for Science. I did not know a practitioner in the large city in which we then lived, but through the kindness of a friend I was put in touch with one. Within moments after I talked with the practitioner the pain disappeared, and I was also greatly uplifted.

Later, when our daughter had scarlet fever, I was very fearful; however, we relied completely on Christian Science. She was totally deaf during the illness and partially so for weeks afterward. Although she was only six years of age at that time, she so stanchly refused her father's suggestion that she be taken to a doctor that the subject was dropped. This was the end of our even considering anything but Christian Science help in our family. A practitioner patiently worked for her, and the deafness was gradually healed, I am profoundly grateful that my husband, who is not a student of Christian Science, graciously permits metaphysical treatment for all the family.
