Christian Science is truly our sure salvation from the woes of a false material sense of life. I came to know of this Science about eight years ago after I had exhausted every known remedy in attempting to overcome the effects of a nervous breakdown and other cumulative disorders. I grasped at it as one might grasp at a raft in mid-ocean; and while the way has at times seemed rough and I have encountered many storms, I never lost hope, for I knew I had found the pearl of great price.

I have had many wonderful demonstrations of the truth of Christian Science from the very beginning, I was instantaneously healed of insomnia and chronic constipation. An alarming condition of the gums was healed, and the dentist who diagnosed the condition attributed the healing to Christian Science.

Another outstanding healing, which occurred only about eight months after I began the study of Science, was of a broken wrist. I fell, doubling my arm beneath me. There is no doubt that the wrist was broken, as the snap was heard by others close by. A practitioner was called immediately, and the swelling and pain subsided soon afterward. About three weeks later the arm was X-rayed. The doctor was told only that the arm had been injured in a fall. When he returned with the X-ray pictures, he said, "Do you mean to tell me that you have not had this arm set or that you have not broken it before?" When I said that I had not, he replied, "It is perfectly set and perfectly healed." I then told him that I had had Christian Science treatment.
