I am very grateful for Christian Science and for all the benefits which I have received from its loving ministrations. At one time during my childhood I remember thinking that there was some great good, some beauty and joy, something more wonderful than I had ever known, which would come into my life. Some years later, after I had come to know and understand more of Christian Science, I thought: "This is it. Christian Science is bringing me that great joy and beauty which I had hoped for in my childhood."

One day I was suffering from nervous fatigue. A cousin asked me if I would like to try Christian Science, and I suddenly felt that that was what I wanted. She took me to see a Christian Science practitioner. I do not recall much of our conversation, but I do remember the practitioner saying that Christian Science is very beautiful; and that evening I felt joyous and was healed. At first I did not seem to understand much of what I read in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, but the chapter entitled "Footsteps of Truth" appealed to me most.

One of my early healings was of warts on my hands. I knew the truth as we are taught in Christian Science and then forgot about the warts. Some time later when I looked at my hands I noticed that the warts had gone. I also had a healing of neuralgia through the help of a practitioner. Colds have been healed almost instantly through Christian Science.
