Every tree is known by its fruits. The Master emphasized this point when he said (Matt. 7:18-20): "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. ...Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

The fruits of Christian Science are seen in its healing works. The last chapter of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, is a perpetual reminder of this fact. In this chapter, which is entitled "Fruitage," one hundred pages are devoted to well-authenticated testimonies of healing from those whose restoration to health came from the study of the textbook.

It is well for the student to be reminded of this chapter, because it recalls the fact that healing follows the study of the textbook and that the truth of Christian Science is proved by its healing works. It will be noticed that the testimonies given in Science and Health cover many types of disease, organic as well as functional, and that they are gathered from other countries as well as from the United States.
