It is with great joy and gratitude that I express my appreciation of the beautiful change Christian Science has made in my life. Before I turned to Science, God was unknown to me, and it was only when someone very dear passed on suddenly that I realized how flimsy were the props of materialism.

What a tremendous blessing I had in store when I was finally led to study earnestly the Bible and the Christian Science textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy! For quite some time the truth seemed obscure to me; but one evening I read on page 306 of the textbook: "If God, who is Life, were parted for a moment from His reflection, man, during that moment there would be no divinity reflected. The Ego would be unexpressed, and the Father would be childless,—no Father." Words can never describe the light which flooded my consciousness when I realized the vital nearness of God to man. For the first time in my life I prayed that my heart might be opened to receive the flood of love which is constantly pouring forth from God, our Father, to His children.

For the replacing of grief with genuine joy and peace, I am truly grateful. At times the way seemed slow, for many erroneous beliefs had to be uncovered and destroyed by the beautiful truths revealed to us by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. But it was proved to me beyond a doubt that by diligently striving to be obedient to Soul and to overcome the belief in a selfhood apart from God, good, we find that Love liberates us from all bondage imposed by mortal mind.
