Gratitude is a grace. And it is a grace that is necessary if we are to worship God acceptably and be worthy of all He has done for us. It was Plutarch who wrote these discerning words about eighteen centuries ago: "The worship most acceptable to God comes from a thankful and cheerful heart."

When Jesus healed ten lepers only one remembered his tremendous obligation and returned to give thanks.
