An extreme nervous condition...

An extreme nervous condition brought me to the study of Christian Science. This condition did not yield to any treatment the doctors were able to give. Having known about Christian Science for some time, I decided to try it. A practitioner started working for me, and there was gradual improvement. Many other undesirable conditions disappeared, including warts on my hand and constipation. Fear was replaced by a wonderful sense of peace, and confusion was calmed. After a few months the nervous condition was gone.

Since then God has been my only physician and counselor, and I have learned how to make practical the teachings of Christian Science. At first it was difficult to understand and apply its rules because of my former concept of God. But as fears vanished and healings and blessings became evident, I grew more and more willing to trust God with my problems. Now I lean upon Him for care, guidance, and protection. Christian Science can indeed be likened to the pearl of great price, and the more we live with it and use it, the more beautiful and priceless it becomes.

Among other healings that I have experienced during my eighteen years as a student of Christian Science is one of growth on my hand that kept getting larger and more sensitive over a period of a year or more. I worked as we are taught to do in Christian Science, and one day it was gone; I do not know when it disappeared. A tendency to have colds has been healed. All these healings have been complete and permanent.
