MY BROTHER
(Luke 10)
Is
it enough for me to see
Myself as perfect, whole, and free,
And look with sympathetic glance
Upon my brother's circumstance?
Let me not pass on the other side
In reticence, self-satisfied.
But pause in loving thoughtfulness
With outstretched hand to heal and bless
And send my brother on his way
Rejoicing in God's love today.
