It has long been my desire to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has meant to me. This religion has been my minister and physician for over forty years. After I had been given up by doctors a dear friend presented Christian Science to me. My mother was suffering from tuberculosis, and together we visited a practitioner. The work was lovingly taken up, and my mother was healed in two weeks' time. Afterward she lived many years in a climate where the doctors had said it would be impossible for her to live.

I had much to learn, and my healing was slower, although I noticed some progress immediately. I have always been grateful for the slow healing, as I was learning all the while. Early in my study this thought on page 231 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was so convincing that I have often turned to it for comfort: "If God heals not the sick, they are not healed, for no lesser power equals the infinite All-power; but God, Truth, Life, Love, does heal the sick through the prayer of the righteous."

Our two children were reared in Christian Science and attended the Sunday School. They are now active members in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, where their children attend the Sunday School.
