On page 162 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes, "Christian Science heals organic disease as surely as it heals what is called functional, for it requires only a fuller understanding of the divine Principle of Christian Science to demonstrate the higher rule." This statement was proved true in my experience. In 1910 I was rejected for life insurance on account of a heart ailment. Medical treatment by a highly regarded specialist in a large city was given immediately and weekly examinations and treatment for a period of about six months; at the end of that time I was told that I was beyond medical help.

Then I learned of Christian Science. When medical science turned me down, Christian Science lifted me up; and when medical science said there was no hope, Christian Science gave me promise. When medical science said there was no healing possible, Christian Science healed me completely.

During the many intervening years this Science has been my only physician, and I am happy to say it has solved all my problems. How can we ever be grateful enough to Mrs. Eddy for guiding us to the truth that heals and saves!—Ernst A. Schiermeier, Bandera, Texas.
