ON FINDING CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
Within
my means, to hold, I found no joy,
Nor substance I could keep:
No cause but cause to weep;
No firm employ.
But now I am a torch that Thou dost light;
My burden thin as air:
Love holds me everywhere.
I feel its might.
No chain can ever bind, nor dungeon jail,
For good is ever good;
Eternal Truth my food.
Mind cannot fail.
Mary Latham Daimwood
