It is with great joy that I submit this expression of gratitude for Christian Science. An alert and generous student of Christian Science permitted my mother to borrow her copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After reading it for about one hour, she declared that this was the truth, for which she had been searching. That same afternoon she drove about forty miles over mountain roads to purchase a copy of this textbook.

About two months later my mother requested that I read daily from Science and Health. I did and am profoundly thankful for childhood lessons of obedience and for willing acceptance of the priceless gift of Christian Science. At first I did not understand all that I read, but I loved the beauty of the writing and the joy and peace I experienced when reading. During the first few months of reading the textbook I was completely and permanently healed of delicate and sensitive feet, a chronic condition since early childhood.

I have experienced healings of headaches, colds, burns, cuts, a broken kneecap, a sprained back, rupture, chilblains, toothache and cavity, fear of heights, and a crushed finger and nail, all through the application of Christian Science. Financial lack was overcome through the increased understanding of God, Spirit, as true substance and supply, and through the realization that my need was not of money, but of the steadfast consciousness of God, good, as ever present and infinitely powerful.
