My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science came when I was six months old. I was seriously ill, and my parents, who were Christian Scientists, and a loving practitioner were working to know the truth for me. The condition grew worse, however, and one day in fear my mother told the practitioner that she could not give up her child. She was lovingly rebuked, "She is not your child, but God's." The practitioner then explained to both my parents the true relationship between God and man. When they later looked at me, I was asleep and completely free. Of course I was too voting to be aw are of this, but I am grateful that my mother's experience taught me, when problems have come up with my own children, to trust God to take care of His own.

At another time at business I suddenly became ill and was taken to the company dispensary. My employer, who was a Christian Scientist, recommended that I be sent home, but was told by the nurse that I was in no condition to go. I tried to work for myself as I had been taught in Christian Science, but was in such pain that I finally asked that my mother be notified. She called a practitioner, who gave help immediately. I fell asleep and in about forty-five minutes awoke well and refreshed and returned to my duties, to the amazement of my fellow workers.

Our two children have been wonderfully protected and are having the great privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School.
