About eight years ago I began studying Christian Science, and I wish to express my gratitude for the many healings and instances of protection which have come to our family since that time. Through the consecrated help of a practitioner we have experienced many physical healings, lost articles have been restored to us, and business problems have been solved.

About two years ago our family experienced an outstanding instance of God's protection. We had just moved to our suburban home, which had not been completed. Temporarily we were living in four rooms in the basement. A very severe wind had forced the carbon monoxide gas fumes back down the chimney and out into our rooms, where, because of a rainstorm during the night, we had closed all the windows.

My husband and I arose at five o'clock feeling very ill and suffering from severe headaches. He went to the barn to attend to the stock, and I started to prepare breakfast in the kitchen, which was upstairs. Soon our little boy called from downstairs. I went down and found that he and his two sisters were ill. After talking to him awhile, I suddenly realized that my husband had not come back, so I went to the barn and found that, although he was up and was semiconscious, he had fallen and cut his head. I remember looking at the clock as we returned to the house and telling him it was six twenty-five. Because we were not feeling well we immediately went downstairs and went back to bed.
