It was over twenty-nine years ago that I began to study Christian Science, and it is with deep gratitude I give my testimony. I have been helped very much by the testimonies of others. Some time ago there was a testimony in one of the periodicals of the healing of a child when the mother realized the truth contained in that beautiful promise in Psalms (138:8), "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me."

Some years ago I too read this promise and saw the truth so clearly that our young son was healed instantaneously of failing eyesight. He had had this condition for about two months, and it had gradually grown worse. I tried for a few weeks to meet the difficulty through my own understanding, but I realized that fear was hindering the healing, so I asked for help from a practitioner. For three weeks there appeared to be no change, but while reading the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly I came upon the promise referred to. I stopped reading, for everything seemed illumined, and as I sat thinking over these word, I heard my son singing. I went in to him and found him completely healed. This occurred over twenty years ago, and his sight has remained normal.

During these years we have experienced many blessings in our home. I have been healed of rheumatism. At one time I had severe pain in my head and was unable to sleep. I asked for help, and very soon after the treatment what appeared to be an abscess burst and drained through my ear. All pain left me, and I was completely healed. These healings took place through my own understanding and the loving help of my husband, who is also a devoted student of Christian Science. He was healed many years ago of smoking, and we have been helped wonderfully in the building up of a business in difficult times. I was also healed of a fractured rib through the help of a practitioner and was very much encouraged by this healing.
