Christian Science is indeed practical...

Christian Science is indeed practical and demonstrable. Over a period of main years it has brought me great peace and joy, as well as protection in time of accidents and inharmonious experiences. In our textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes (pp. 142,143). "Truth is God's remedy for error of every kind, and Truth destroys only what is untrue." This has been proved to me many times.

I am grateful for the Christian Science Sunday School, which I attended from childhood to the age of twenty, for there the Bible became more understandable to me, and I learned to apply the fundamental truths of Christian Science.

A source of much inspiration to me has been a healing which took place many years ago. A son, then a small boy, was taken seriously ill with an infection of the ear, for which I immediately asked the help of a Christian Science practitioner. The condition did not improve, but rather grew worse; great pain accompanied by high fever was experienced, and at times the child was semidelirious. Then a large rising appeared behind his ear, indicating a mastoid condition.
