Gratitude for blessings received over a period of many years through the study and application of Christian Science impels me to write this testimony in the hope that those who read it will be benefited as I have been by reading the testimonies of others.

I have experienced many healings. Some were instantaneous and some were worked out step by step as my understanding of Christian Science increased. An automobile accident brought about my introduction to Christian Science. A friend's kind offer to call a Christian Science practitioner was accepted, and the healing from bruise and shock was so immediate that it seemed miraculous to me. I began serious study of the Bible and of our textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, to discover what law had produced this beautiful result. My second healing was of a sprained ankle. By that time I had gained sufficient understanding to apply "the scientific statement of being" (ibid., p. 468) and endeavored to realize the meaning of each phrase as I repeated it; and when I had finished, all ill effects had vanished.

The healing of sick headaches, a malady from which I had suffered since childhood, required much earnest study on my part, and consecrated work on the part of different practitioners had been done over a period of years. Gradually the severity of the headaches lessened and the attacks were farther apart, until finally they disappeared altogether.
