SPIRITUALITY, THE PROOF OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE DEMONSTRATED

Christian Science is the Science of all sciences because it is the demonstrable understanding of all real being or existence. Being Science, it demands thoughtful study if it is to be correctly and successfully applied. If one is to become a scientific thinker, there must naturally be the demonstration of intelligence, reason, and logic. But Christian Science is much more than a mental science, even though it deals wholly with Mind. Most important of all, this Science is eminently Christian. In demonstration it must constantly show forth the characteristics of Christianity.

In her book "No and Yes" Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science, writes (p.10): "The two largest words in the vocabulary of thought are 'Christian' and 'Science.' The former is the highest style of man; the latter reveals and interprets God and man; it aggregates, amplifies, unfolds, and expresses the All-God. The life of Christ is the predicate and postulate of all that I teach, and there is but one standard statement, one rule, and one Principle for all scientific truth."

More than all other men, Jesus of Nazareth revealed and exemplified the Christ. So completely did he show forth the Christ that he is known forever as Christ Jesus. The Christ found expression in every detail of his human life. As we study the character of the Master, what are the qualities that appeal to us and more than all else command our consideration? Are they his forcefulness, his courage? No, even though these were conspicuous throughout his career. The two Christ-qualities that we associate more than all others with the man Jesus are his love and spirituality.
