I have had proofs of God's tender care and healing power for nearly twenty years. Although evil, rearing its ugly head in main disguises, has assumed place and power, it has been my blessed privilege to see omnipotent Love prevail and to learn that we are ever with our Father-Mother God.

A number of years ago my young daughter was in a girls' summer camp in the mountains some distance from the city where we lived. She became painfully ill from blood poisoning; the swelling had become so great that she could not wear her shoes. A Christian Science practitioner was called by long-distance telephone, and she lovingly tried to allay my fear. I could only think of trying to get to my little girl, and the practitioner asked me to remember that God was already there and requested that I read the Christian Science textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I realized that I needed more faith in God's loving care. I read the textbook and became so interested that I forgot everything else. I continued reading until three o'clock in the morning when, suddenly, I knew that my daughter was healed.
