A HEALING EXPERIENCE

The writing of a metaphysical article is a joyous, healing experience. It is Love-inspired, Love-conceived, Love-executed work, which glorifies God. It is an unselfish endeavor to share with our fellow men the unfoldment of good that has blessed us, that they too may find inspiration, healing, and salvation.

One's thought, especially after an uplifting and healing experience in Christian Science, may be so illumined by some aspect of God and man that his great joy and gratitude impel him to speak to others of the newly discovered realities of Spirit. He may even exclaim, in the words of Job (19:23), "Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!" We may feel that we have not the ability to write a metaphysical article; but we may come nearer this achievement when we rely unreservedly on the divine Mind, which unfolds the truth of being and brings to light latent talent.

Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 506), "Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts, even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear."
