At the time of my marriage my attention was called to Christian Science by my husband, a student of this Science, but I did not become interested in it at that time. Within a few years, however, I seemed to lose the excellent health that I had always enjoyed, and because I was given very little hope that I would ever really be strong again, I became despondent, worried, and unhappy.

The only other student of this Science whom I knew was a friend of my husband's. One day, in my despair, I decided to try Christian Science to see if it could offer me any comfort. I did not know at that time that I could be healed physically. My husband suggested that I go to see this friend. She lovingly talked to me of man created in the image and likeness of God. She directed me to the Reading Room and took me to see a practitioner, whom I asked to work for me in Christian Science. She lovingly led my thinking away from fear, doubt, worry, sickness, and despair, and up to God. I was healed that very day of the smoking habit.

I began studying the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly daily and reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy several hours a day. In a few weeks I was completely healed of the physical ills, and I became happy again. Christian Science truly has met and is meeting my need.
