Healing of Misconceptions of Christian Science

Barbados, British West Indies

There were no press corrections to he made, but many other opportunities appeared to heal prejudice and misunderstanding. A lady who is now a student of Christian Science, and who has had many healings through this study, was visited by the clergyman of her parish and urged that she "return to the fold." She was assured that he too did healing. She rejoiced over his healings, offered him some of her literature, but courteously and firmly refused to give up her study.

A Canadian clergyman and a Christian Science student were holidaying at the same hotel. One day the clergyman approached her and said: "I have noted your calmness, also your deep study of a book. May I be allowed to read it?" She willingly loaned him her copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. On returning it to her, he asked if she could obtain a copy for him, because he thought it a very beautiful book and was determined, when he returned to Canada, to get in touch with a Christian Science church or a Scientist who would tell him how to obtain the literature. She bought him the textbook and gave him a copy of The Christian Science Journal, showing him where he would find the address he wanted.
