Many years ago Christian Science healed me instantaneously of a supposedly inherited disease. The spiritual awakening which came to me from this experience assured me that this Science is indeed the truth. Through its study and application I have experienced many healings, one of which was outstanding to me. For about ten years I had realized that my eyesight was failing, and finally there came a time when I could no longer see to read without material aid. I was much concerned, but I did not lose confidence or doubt that I would be healed. I did not put on glasses, but used a reading glass whenever I was obliged to use my eyes for close work.

Suddenly, through the passing of my husband, I was left alone with rather a hopeless outlook confronting me. My former home had been in California, and I had always had a sense that I would go back there to live some day. However, when I had to make a decision, I was not happy in planning for the move. My thought seemed confused.

One day, through a remark made by a friend, I at once saw the error. If I went back, I would be going back to positions outgrown. I did not go. Rather, I saw that I had been calling a material place home instead of knowing that my real home was in spiritual consciousness and that its outward manifestation could just as well be in Chicago as in California. My eyes were healed at that moment, and I found myself at once able to read easily and without effort. I give God the glory for this healing.
