"Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." These words from page 494 of Science and Health by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, have been a great comfort to me when a sense of lack has presented itself for healing. At all times when I have held to this promise I have been supplied with all that I truly needed. I early recognized that the fruitage was not just what human will had described as necessary, but that the good which came to me was always that which was best for my spiritual well-being.

Early in December, 1943, when I was on active duty with the United States Coast Guard as recruiting officer, I was suddenly and unexpectedly transferred to another city. It seemed right to take my wife and two children with me. Friends advised against this because of lack of living quarters in this city. However, we left our station, confident of the promise in the quotation given above. On arriving we found immediate lodging open to us in a hotel to which we had written for accommodations. Up to that very time they had had no available space, but we were able to stay there until we found a permanent place to live in.

Work in Christian Science was continued, and we knew that Love would fulfill our need of a permanent home. We attended church the following Sunday with a practitioner who had been helping us, and the loving reception we received there made us realize that we had found our church home. Shortly afterward a home of our own was found in a harmonious and most natural way.
