There is no experience more beautiful than a Christian Science healing. I have been healed of chronic biliousness, which I had had from childhood, of sick headaches, sore throat, severe colds, indigestion, and a severe attack of influenza.

The most outstanding healing I experienced was of measles, and it was instantaneous. During the last World War I was working on an R. A. F. aerodrome in bitter winter weather. Early one morning I was awakened by mortal mind, which insistently claimed to be doing something. Instead of handling the situation then and there, I made the mistake of merely brushing aside the lying arguments.

When, in the evening, I returned to my hotel. I was covered with the evidence of the disease. I immediately went to bed and determined to study until I could prove God's allness and the unreality of sense testimony. I vigorously denied all mortal mind claims to having environed me in its subjective state—matter. Then I turned to Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and pondered the definition of God (p. 465). Trying to realize the incorporeal nature of God and His idea, man, I saw that God had created man fearless and that in my true being I individualized His spotless purity and fearlessness. I dwelt on each of the synonymous terms for God as given in this definition and realized that it was in God that I lived and moved and had my being.
