I am grateful for all the good that has come into my life since I began the study of Christian Science. My family has experienced many remarkable healings. When our son was small, he was healed of deafness and loss of speech.

Recently I had an opportunity to gain a clearer realization of the allness of God. One morning I awoke with a sore mouth, which prevented my eating or drinking. All day long I persisted in reading and studying Christian Science, but was constantly interrupted with the suggestion, "What caused this condition?" There seemed to be little if any improvement when bedtime came, and I was still searching for the cause. As I lay there, holding onto the truth of God and man as best I knew, the statement, "God is the only cause and there is no other," came so forcefully and clearly that I was satisfied and went off to sleep. I rested better than I had for weeks and awoke the next morning healed.

Mrs. Eddy lovingly and wisely tells us in Science and Health (p. 495), "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea." Had I been obedient to this injunction at the start and held steadfastly to the one cause, I would have averted the pain and discomfort.
