Over a period of nineteen years...

Over a period of nineteen years the truth as taught by Christ Jesus and again brought to mankind by Mary Baker Eddy in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," has never failed me when correctly and expectantly applied. This truth has helped not only me, but also others in our household.

I have been healed of burns, ivy poisoning, influenza, a felon, resentment, and many other inharmonies. Many of these healings were brought about solely as the result of my study of the Bible and the textbook; others came through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner.

For many years I suffered from attacks of what the doctors had diagnosed as an inflamed gall bladder. Much right thinking was done by a practitioner and much studying by myself, but the condition was not completely met. About two years later, during the Christmas holiday season, my sister-in-law, a class-taught student, visited us. During this time the old error came forth again, and the attack was severe. The same practitioner took up work for me, and at the darkest hour she asked my sister-in-law to play Mrs. Eddy's hymns and earnestly suggested that I sing and rejoice that this condition was not the truth of being.
