THE POWER OF SPIRITUAL INCLUSION AND EXCLUSION
Why does Christian Science specify spiritual inclusion of the real and exclusion of the unreal? Why cannot this be done on a material basis of human likes and dislikes? Because just as long as there is included in thought and action the error that matter and evil are real, efforts to understand and demonstrate spiritual good will partake of and be clouded by earthly limitations. As long as there lingers the belief of material being, a fleshly form with life and mind temporarily inside it, any healing effort will be restricted by doubt, false hope, uncertainty.
Too frequently have men disregarded the fact that God's universe is one in Mind, unfettered intelligence, and expresses Mind alone. Accepting as mind that which is but a mimicry of intelligence and disregarding Spirit as the true basis for thought and achievement, men have seemed to exclude the angels of love and light constantly emanating from God, good, and have accepted imperfect mental models.
We must destroy these false mental models by exercising man's dominion, which means spiritual inclusion of the real and spiritual exclusion of the unreal. This dominion never has been removed, and all of us are free moral agents to accept and include in our thoughts and lives the good proceeding from God alone, and we are equally capable of excluding all else.
