Although I did not come to Christian Science for any personal reason, I have received countless blessings from it, mentally, physically, and in all ways. Today I should like to relate a demonstration which may induce some who are heavy laden at present to knock at the right door for help and to receive positive aid.

Some time ago a diseased condition developed in my upper and lower jaws. I did not know what it was and decided to go to a dentist for information. The first one consulted, as well as several others, refused after a preliminary examination to take the case. They stated that it was too serious for ordinary treatment. The last one consulted was even more emphatic and said that he could do nothing. He explained that in his opinion it was a case of generalized cancer of the jaws and needed special treatment. I replied firmly that I would not accept this verdict, and I assured him that if he would consent to give me ordinary care, such as he would give one of his regular patients, I would know how to find a way to overcome the particular difficulty. He finally consented to do this after some discussion.

As he went on with his work, I clung firmly to the idea that as the perfect child of God man is forever intact and that this was an opportunity for me to prove the omnipotence of God. I knew that God being Life, nothing could destroy the harmony of my existence.
