I began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly after I saw my husband completely healed of the bad effects of an automobile accident. This experience was related in the Sentinel of March 1, 1947.

I had not been studying for long when I became very ill one morning. As soon as my husband had gone to work and our small sons to school, I managed to arise and crawl to the telephone to ask a practitioner for help.

For about four days I called the practitioner every day, though it seemed sometimes that I could not reach the telephone. One night about eleven o'clock I suddenly sat up in bed, crying aloud: "I am healed. I know I am healed." At that moment it was as if a heavy cape fell off my shoulders, and truly I was healed. The sickness was pneumonia.
